Can Am Maverick X3 Max Roll Cage (flat top)
Bump up the safety factor on your Can Am Maverick X3 Max one of our roll cages! In a perfect world, its not something you'd ever need to worry about. But the reality of it is that the factory cage is not built to withstand a high speed wreck or tumble down a large hill or sand dune. The safety of yourself, loved ones and friends is not something you want to gamble with and you should always try to be prepared for the unexpected. Lets face it, majority of accidents are caused by the other guy, which usually get away with the least damage! Additional gussets have been added to production cages and match the gussets shown on the radius cage.
Our cages are built from 1 3/4 x .120 wall DOM tubing for the main roof rail, A, B and C pillar and 1 3/4 x .095 wall DOM tubing for the roof crossmembers. All gussets and anti-intrusion bars are 1 1/4 x .095 wall DOM. All tabs and plate gussets are 3/16" thick steel. If your looking for the ultimate strength for racing or even just extra piece of mind, you can also upgrade your cage to chromoly tubing. Cage is fully Mig welded.
This cage is up to 2" lower than the factory cage at the side of the roof line. It is flat from left to right, so there is no center hump like the factory cage. You can choose factory height, -1" or minus 2" below. Make sure you choose a height according to how tall you are sitting in your car. Keep in mind you want room for your helmet as well.
If you choose to add grab handles to your cage, please note that they are positioned in the safest way possible to aid in avoiding injury during a rollover. Aesthetically, you may not necessarily like them, but this is where they should be placed for the safety of you and your passengers. If you don't like them, don't add them to your cage. We will NOT place them in any position that would leave your hands in a vulnerable position during a rollover.
Standard cage features include, dash tube, front windshield gussets (top corners), windshield anti intrusion bars, roof anti intrusion bars, A, B and C gussets, two adjustable whip mounts, 50" light bar tabs and a solid aluminum roof.
